Le Pain Quotidien: A flexible gift card solution for customers and staff
Belgian Artisan baker, Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ), has restored the UK’s faith in traditional simplicity and wholesome ingredients. Its loyal customers return to its tables to enjoy great breads, fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables and time-honoured jams and preserves.
With a menu as attractive as this, it’s easy to see why LPQ’s monthly staff lunch allowance is a such a popular employee benefit. In order to provide LPQ with an efficient and controlled means of distributing the allowance to staff, we worked with LPQ to design and implement a bespoke, reloadable gift card solution complete with a centralised management portal from which all of the staff cards can be administered.
From here, the monthly allowance of each staff member is loaded onto their card, giving them the freedom to manage the fund however they wish; many opt to retain a portion of their daily spend in order to treat themselves to ‘indulgent lunch’ days.
The Le Pain Quotidien gift cards are now being rolled out to customers too, with a view to introducing a tailored loyalty programme also managed via the flexible platform in the near future.
